The Delta Township Historical Society was founded in 2006. The Society received tax exempt status in 2007.

Educational Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Call  or email for details or meeting place.

      The mission of the Delta Township Historical Society is to preserve and protect the history of Delta Township, Michigan.

      The vision of the Delta Township Historical Society is to preserve and create documentation, archive, artifact and data basis to educate present and future generations on the history of Delta Township, Michigan.

Goals of the Delta Township Historical Society

1. Preserve the history of Delta Township though artifact and archive preservation.

2. Document the history of the township.

3. Educate the general public on the history of Delta Township

4. Document present day Delta Township for future generations.

5. Develop the Delta Township Historical Society into an educational resource of Michigan history.

Objectives of the Delta Township Historical Society

1. Protect artifact and archives of Delta Township through curatorial methods.

2. Produce documentation of Delta Township events and history.

3. Preserve and protect buildings pertaining to Delta Township History

4. Document Delta Township genealogy and family histories

5. Develop oral histories with residents with past, present, and future residents of Delta Township.

6. Conduct education programs on Delta Township History.

7. Develop a web page for the Delta Township Historical Society.
